David Hansen has been fascinated by the diversity and scope of the wine world since his time in college. His time earning a degree in Geography (University of North Texas, B.A., 1995) helped him to understand the importance of location -- the fact that so much of what makes things interesting and unique is where they are located in the world.
David previously spent a year as Wine Lead for a Central Market store in Texas, assisting consumers with wine recommendations, teaching introductory wine appreciation classes, and helping to diversify the store's wine selections.

Kristin Crane is the Marketing Director for davidjohnhansen.com, and provides the direction of our social media accounts. Kristin is a graduate of Jefferson University, previously Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Textile Design, as well as a Certificate of Achievement in Graphic Design from Bristol Community College. She is the Director of Marketing and Communications for Design Pool.
Kristin was first interested in learning about wine so that she wouldn't mistakenly order a buttery Chardonnay. She has been a regular at our monthly tastings from the very beginning, and her knowledge and palate have grown well beyond her original goal. She is particularly interested in how wine tells a story of a time and place, as well as the lives of the people who made it.
When she is not working, she is often found creating her own handmade textiles by weaving on her Macomber Loom, knitting and dyeing. Her work can be seen on kristincrane.com.
